Gary is a retired secondary school principal with an extensive list of accomplishments as a teacher, coach, school administrator and community leader.

His extensive background provides ACE Tennis students and parents with a unique level of knowledge and insight for educational planning decisions. In addition, Gary’s professional relationships in the elementary and secondary schools of Halton have provided our student-athletes with access to part-time schedules that allow them to enjoy the benefits of school and the classroom environment on a schedule designed to accommodate their training hours.

To complement part-time school, Gary facilitates student enrollment in appropriate ‘out of school’ independent learning and virtual / e-learning courses. These are offered by the Ministry of Education and the leading-edge Ontario on-line providers: Avon-Maitland and Trillium-Lakelands Boards of Education. Gary also provides students with current information regarding The College Board, the SAT and the NCAA and their respective roles in securing university scholarships in the United States. He and local school counselors organize a free SAT in February each year that is sponsored and assessed by the Princeton Review.

Gary also works in an advisory role with our tutor Helen Donohoe, in the provision of regular SAT prep classes for student athletes.
